The inner eyeball which constitutes Retina, Optic Nerve, vitreous are some important system in visual pathway of the eye which helps in converting  light energy to electric energy and transmit to brain, so we see the world.

Diseases like Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma, Hypertensive Retinopathy and other Retinal diseases which affects inner layers of eye mostly  are sight threatening diseases. And once vision lost by these diseases is difficult to regain. So timely diagnosis and treatment will prevent blindness.
